Instructional Video Site Graspr Raises $2.5 Million

Instructional video network Graspr has raised $2.5 million in first-round funding from venture capital firm Draper Fischer Jurvetson and angel investors. The Silicon Valley startup also announced the launch of a syndication platform and editing tool meant to help people edit, track and distribute their instructional videos.

Graspr has also launched an affiliate network that allows producers and publishers to share in ad revenue generated by the videos they produce or feature on their sites. Since starting in September 2007, the company made available 20,000 instructional videos online.--Mark Walsh
