Social gaming company Zynga is bulking up, adding a former Yahoo vet and seasoned gaming industry executive to its leadership team.

Scott Derringer has been named vice president of product management. Derringer most recently served as a senior director of product management at Yahoo, working in the Web giant's Yahoo Groups community division. In his new role, Derringer will be responsible for leading Zynga's online game development team.

Meanwhile, Hugh de Loayza has been named vice president of business development. De Loayza will be responsible for Zynga's licensing and M&A activities. He comes to the company from Oberon Media, where he served as senior director of business development.
