Global Deal Focuses On Local Ads

  • November 14, 2008
Australian advertising company Digital Network Sales has inked a deal with AdGent 007 to manage the San Francisco company's network of publishers, selling online inventory to top advertisers and media buyers in Australia and New Zealand.

The deal aims to focus ads on local markets, although the consumer may be looking at news stories online half a world away. For example, someone in Sydney reading the San Francisco Chronicle online in London should see an advertisement relevant to their physical location in Australia. Local online advertisements should follow consumers from their physical location from where they search for product on the Web, according to Cameron Yuill, founder and CEO of AdGent 007.--Laurie Sullivan
