Verizon Adds User-Generated Video Service

  • November 18, 2008
Verizon Wireless has teamed with FunMobility to debut America's Best Mobile Flix, a video-sharing service and mobile social network.

Through Flix, Verizon subscribers will be able to upload videos across multiple operator networks and content categories including comedy, kids, crazy pets and sports bloopers.

They can also create a profile with their videos and share messages with other members. Customers can also review, comment on, and rate videos from their mobile phone. Videos with higher ratings are featured in a special "best videos" category every month. The Flix application is being offered via Verizon's Web site for a $4.99 subscription, or directly from funmo.com.--Mark Walsh
