Dilithium, which provides multimedia delivery over mobile and broadband networks, is offering a network traffic optimizer application for live video and video on demand (VoD) streaming.

The DCA Video Optimizer can adapt video content for live and VoD delivery to the widest range of devices, including PCs, set-top boxes and mobile handsets.

It can be deployed by operators and service providers enabling traffic shaping of video streaming or progressive download based on network congestion, time of day, and differentiated services. The adaptation process allows it to work transparently with native browsers or streaming players on all devices.--Tanya Irwin
