  • Saneel Radia
    R/GA
    R/GA hired Saneel Radia to lead its global consulting practice, which is focused on helping companies create new business models, products, services and brands. As senior vice president, business consulting, he will focus on helping clients use creativity and technology to design new business models and brand strategies. Radia will be based in the agency's New York office and report to Barry Wacksman, global chief strategy officer of R/GA. Prior to R/GA, Radia was the founder and president of Finch15, an incubator-for-hire within Publicis Groupe. Prior to that, he ran BBH Labs, the innovation unit of BBH New York. While there, he served as both head of innovation and head of engagement planning. "I'm thrilled to be part of such a talented team that understands that the value of strategy is in its outcomes, not in the deck that contains it," said Radia.   • Shamsa Jafri

    Innocean Worldwide Americas hired Shamsa Jafri as senior vice president, data science. In this new role, Jafri will be responsible for spearheading the analytics function and designing models that will improve the effectiveness of the agency's integrated advertising efforts. She will report to Tim Blett, chief operating officer of Innocean. Most recently Jafri worked for Cramer-Krasselt in Chicago on Porsche, Heinz, Kraft, Edward Jones, Panera Bread, Allstate and Vitamix. Earlier in her career, she was founder and CEO of mobile ad-serving platform, Mobtize, under the parent company Found Mojo, Inc. She also has experience on both the brand and agency sides, working for United Airlines, Orbitz.com and Ogilvy Worldwide. "With the industry becoming more data-driven each and every day, we're excited to welcome someone with Shamsa's level of experience to help us optimize our clients' marketing effectiveness," said Blett.     CP+B LA promoted Robin Fitzgerald to vice president, executive creative director. In her new role, Fitzgerald will lead global creative for PayPal, a brand she recently led through its first UK Christmas campaign and Super Bowl spot, as well as other accounts. Since 2010, Fitzgerald served as vice president/creative director at the agency, leading creative for Old Navy, Vitaminwater, Applebee's, A.1. and Grey Poupon. This is Fitzgerald's second round at CP+B, having first worked at the agency from 2002-2004 on clients like MINI. She then worked as associate creative director at TBWA\Chiat\Day LA, where she created work on Gatorade, Visa, Energizer, and every model of Nissan vehicles, before returning to CP+B in 2010. "Robin truly is the heart and soul of the LA office and has been for quite some time. We're all very lucky to be working alongside her," said Kevin Jones, executive creative director, CP+B LA.

    Deutsch New York named Andrew Dawson as partner, chief strategy officer. Since February, Dawson has worked with Deutsch as a freelance strategist and consultant on existing clients and new business efforts. Prior to freelancing at Deutsch, Dawson was chief strategy officer at Johannes Leonardo on clients including Google, Mondelez's Trident, adidas Originals, TripAdvisor, and PlayStation Vue. Before that, he was co-founder of the Master & Dynamic brand, makers of headphones sold at Apple Stores and fashion boutiques, leading strategic vision and brand development. Dawson acquired agency side experience in planning roles at R/GA and McCann Erickson, and on an array of clients including Chobani, Victoria's Secret, Johnson & Johnson, Pepsi, E-Trade, Land Rover, Levi's, SC Johnson's, US Army and Walmart. "Anyone who has worked with Andrew, as we have over the years, will tell you his business acumen combined with his creativity makes him a real game changer. He's a thought leader, motivator, and wicked smart," said Val DiFebo, CEO of Deutsch NY. "We're excited to have him joining us in one of the most critical positions within the agency. Dawson reports to DiFebo and replaces Brent Vartan, who left the agency in June, 2015 to start accelerator agency Bullish. In addition to hiring Daeson, Deutsch promoted Shobha Sairam to executive vice president, director of planning, up from executive vice president, group planning director. At Deutsch since 2012, she has been leading strategy on J&J's Acuvue and Green Giant and will now take on a broader role with the department on existing clients and new business opportunities.

    Deep Focus named Jonathan Lum as US chief strategy officer, reporting to founder and chairman Ian Schafer. Lum will be responsible for overseeing Deep Focus' strategy and analytics disciplines, as well as the agency's consumer insights consulting team, The Intelligence Group. He will also oversee strategy for the New York hub of Engine, Deep Focus' parent company. Lum brings more than 20 years of brand strategy and market research experience to the agency. He joins Deep Focus from ICF International/Olson/PulsePoint where he was group strategy officer, responsible for integrating the company's recent Olson/PulsePoint Group acquisition. He also led the company's management and digital consulting group, working with clients such as Commerce Bank, McDonald's, General Mills, Alzheimer's Association, TiVo and Sharp USA.
