Parents Say TV Program Ratings Help Decide What Kids Can Watch

In their recent survey, the TV Parental Guidelines Monitoring Board finds that 92% of parents know that broadcast and cable networks provide parental ratings for television programming.

Eighty-six percent of parents said they know the rating and 79% said they use them when determining whether their child can watch a particular TV show. Ninety-one percent of parents said they understood the parental ratings, with 46% saying very well and 44% saying somewhat well.
