Cost Outweighs Ads Among Viewers Canceling Streaming

DirecTV's survey discovers that 30% of U.S. consumers who canceled a streaming service said they needed to cut back on entertainment costs.

“Beyond cost and affordability, lack of new content and having finished watching a show or movie on that service contribute to a consumer’s decision to cancel,” according to the report. “With consumers’ time splintered across streaming video, they are taking careful consideration of what services they choose to add, retain or cancel.”
