Social video app TikTok faces a possible ban in the United States because of national security concerns. It’s not clear if its Chinese parent will be given the choice to sell TikTok’s U.S. operations or find another way to satisfy lawmakers.

In the event of a ban, people who have built a following on TikTok say they’re likely to produce content for another social-media platform. Google’s YouTube is the top choice among 30% of TikTok creators and influencers, followed by Meta Platforms’ Facebook at 29% and Instagram at 15%, according to a survey by researcher CivicScience.
