Carroll Shelby Changes Lanes

Auto racing legend Carroll Shelby, chairman and founder of Carroll
Shelby International Inc., has launched "Shelby Signature Foods." The
company will focus on healthy comfort foods, as well as regional
specialties such as salad dressing mixes, cornbread, salsa, and fried
chicken batter mix, per a release.
After retiring from the race circuit, Shelby started working with Ford Motor in the early Sixties to create the Mustang-based Cobra sports car and Shelby Mustangs.
Shelby also helped start the Chili's restaurant chain with Larry Lavine in 1975. --Karl Greenberg
