Isobar's Morris Replaces Fay As Aegis' North America Chief
Nigel Morris was named CEO of Aegis Media North America, replacing Sarah Fay. Mark Cranmer joins the media company as CEO of Isobar. Fay is exiting by mutual agreement.
Previously, Morris had been CEO of Isobar, the 6-year-old digital agency network of Aegis Media. During his tenure, Isobar grew to 29% of Aegis Media's revenue in 2008, staffed by some 3,500 employees. He also led sustainability initiatives globally for Aegis Group plc. Morris joined Aegis in 1992 as a Carat International vice president.
As CEO of Aegis Media North America, Morris is in charge of all company businesses in the U.S. and Canada, including Carat, Vizeum, Aegis Media Canada (Carat Canada, Mindblossom and Genesis Vizeum), Copernicus, Velocity Sports and Entertainment, Vivid Marketing, Posterscope USA (The Brand Experience and Hyperspace) and Isobar agencies Freestyle Interactive, Ammo Marketing, iProspect, Range and Molecular.
Separately, Cranmer brings three decades of expertise in advertising and media services. Before signing with Aegis, he was CEO of Starcom Mediavest EMEA and a board director of Publicis Groupe Media worldwide until 2006. Also, he held senior posts at BBH and Motive, as well as Bates, JWT and Leo Burnett; he was a member of the board that created the global Starcom media network.
Cranmer is chairman of UK Online Measurement, the UK body developing a unified online audience measurement system.
Fay joined Aegis Media in 1998, leading the creation of Carat Interactive in 2001. She was named CEO of Isobar US in 2003. In 2007, she became CEO of Carat US, and CEO of Aegis Media North America in April 2008.
Commenting on the changes, Jerry Buhlmann, CEO of Aegis Media, said this was an opportunity for new management to "lead the North American business at a time of industry reinvention."... Morris knows how to "build on our strong legacy of digital, consumer insight and diversified services to create tomorrow's agency," he said, adding that Cranmer will "enhance our preeminent position in digital and lead our thinking and practice on integration."
