Feeding America, a charity that distributes food to 5.7 million hungry Americans per week, says farmers who belong to United Egg Producers are donating more than 11 million eggs this Easter season to
food banks around the country. Since egg farmers first began their donations in 2008, they've contributed more than 50 million eggs to local food banks. According to the United States Department of
Agriculture, 50 million Americans-17 million of them children-live in food insecure households.
