  • May 19, 2011
The triple threat of high gasoline, low incentives and lower inventory because of the disaster in Japan is making May a pretty dismal month for car and truck sales, based in mid-month ascultation by J.D. Power and Associates.

The month's selling rate is higher than it was in May last year by about a million units, but way off from the yearly average of 10.7 million units.
