Horizon Media has hired Sean Smith as senior vice president-managing director of its retail group.  He joins from Interpublic’s Draftfcb unit, where he was senior vice president-group media director. At Horizon, he will oversee retail accounts including David’s Bridal, Golden Corral, Starkist, Ruby Tuesday and Cannondale/Schwinn. Also joining Horizon is Mia Cosgrove, who was named a vice president-associate managing director, responsible for planning and buying on the Weight Watchers account. She joins from WPP’s MEC unit, where she was managing partner-account director.
