New Yahoo Show Will Prank Pro Athletes

On the heels of announcing the Tom Hanks-produced “Electric City” animated series for Yahoo, the Web portal Friday unveiled its latest original programming effort—“Blindsided,” a show what will prank top athletes each week. Developed by Yahoo Sports in partnership with Electus and IAC-owned Collegehumer, the new video series debuting Jan. 19 will have fun at the expense of NFL, NBA and MLB athletes including the New York Knicks’ Landry Fields and the Baltimore Ravens’ Ray Rice and Bryant McKinnie.

Exclusively sponsoring the show during its 10-week run will be Dr Pepper TEN. The sponsorship will include a “Dr Pepper TEN Instant Replay” following each episode that highlights the most entertaining portion of the show. Yahoo says its original video lineup draws an audience of over 26 million.
