Charlie Sheen At A Fiat Party

  • March 1, 2012

Wait -- I'd rather look at J.Lo any day than Charlie Sheen. Maybe it's because I'm a guy, but I think most women would also rather look at J.Lo. I point this out because Fiat, which had Jennifer Lopez in commercials for the Fiat 500 has now tapped Sheen for a new commercial for the 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth, the company's performance-oriented and appointed version of the car.

The ad, called "House Arrest," plays on Sheen's perpetual legal entanglements and also features model Catrinel Menghia, who was in the brand's Super Bowl commercial. The ad will air on national and cable broadcast channels.

The spot, via Doner, Detroit, opens on a lovely mansion in which a party is happening of the sort that every (straight) man would love to be part of: only two guys and about fifty 6-foot tall, feline, runway-ready Stepford models (I refuse to use the term "supermodel" until Stan Lee or D.C. Comics unveils it at Comicon.) They partygoers cheer as the Abarth 500 does donuts in the house's main living room, screeches past the front door, and generally wreaks havoc.

We don't see who is driving the vehicle, however, until the car comes to a stop and a foot emerges with an ankle bracelet on it. Sheen steps out to the general admiration of Menghia, and says:"I love being under house arrest," as he turns to Menghia: "What do I get for good behavior?"

The visual super says, in red block letters: "Not all bad boys...are created equal."
