B&N Intros Nook Browser

Barnes & Noble has introduced a new browser for its Nook e-reading platform. The new browser, called Nook For Web, is meant to give readers the ability to use the service from their PCs or Macs, with support for tablets, smartphones and other devices this fall.

The browser will offer automatic syncing with Nook devices and reading apps so readers can pick up right where they left off. The browser also includes the ability to read without signing in, a realistic layout and a choice of eight fonts and sizes.

To promote usage, B&N will offer six of the service’s best-selling books for free, with titles including Map of Bones, The Vow, The Boxcar Children Summer Special and Perfect Island Getaways. The offer will be available until July 26.
