Maroon 5 Front Man Launches A Fragrance

  • February 5, 2013

While many would argue that no self-respecting rock band, or rock band member for that matter, would ever launch a perfume, "Maroon 5" lead singer Adam Levine has launched a perfume. Modesty to the fore, it's a self-titled fragrance. The scents for men and women launch in February 2013 exclusively at Macy's and Macys.com.

Levine has tapped ID Perfumes for the venture. Here's the official blurb: "Both fragrances were shaped by Adam's discerning nose, while the bottles and packaging reflect his particular aesthetic sensibilities. This debut fragrance collection is everything a signature scent should be: both a portrait and extension of the brand itself.  'Adam Levine' for men and women is confident, deeply seductive, and timeless," said chairman and CEO of ID Perfumes, Ilia Lekach. He really did say that. No really.

The bottle has to have some kind of signature shape. This one is a microphone. Theoretically one could therefore use it either as a decanter or for karaoke.

The fragrances come in 1.0, 1.7, and 3.4 fl. oz. sizes at suggested retail prices of $35, $45, and $65, respectively.

To celebrate the fragrance launch and meet fans, Adam Levine will appear at Macy's Century City in Los Angeles on Thursday, February 7th and Macy's Herald Square in New York on Friday, February 15th.
