Just An Online Minute... Packed Calendars, Take II

  • by September 15, 2004
I don't think there's anyone out there in the advertising and marketing universe who hasn't been burning the midnight oil over the last few weeks. This is particularly true here in New York where many agencies, marketers, publishers, portals, industry trade groups, and their partners are involved in the first annual Advertising Week in New York City, which kicks off September 20.

If you check out the schedule of events for Advertising Week, you will see an extraordinary number of events, conferences, lectures, and parties. There are tons of events, and at least a few of them are sponsored by MediaPost and our partners. We want you to know about them in case you don't already.

First, we have the Interactive Advertising World Conference and Expo, Sept. 20 & 21. Second, there is Forecast 2005, Sept. 22. There also are two awards shows associated with these events. They are the: Online Media, Marketing and Advertising Awards, on Tuesday night, Sept. 21 at the Millennium Hotel-Broadway, and the Creative Media Awards, on Wednesday night Sept. 22 at the Marriott Marquis. If you haven't registered for these events, do so because it's getting late! Links for more information and registration can also be found in today's MediaDailyNews.

MediaPost is producing IAW with the Interactive Advertising Bureau; we're excited to be contributing and think it will be a productive event. As for Forecast 2005, this is MediaPost's own day-long event that takes a look at forecasts for ad spending across all major media in 2005. We've got some heavy hitters lined up to flex their powers of prognostication. There are mini forecast sessions planned during the two-day IAW event as well, analyzing the overall online media market; search, streaming video/rich media; and behavioral/contextual marketing.

Meanwhile, if you're in New York on Monday, don't be surprised if you trip over the Pillsbury Doughboy, the groovy California Raisins, or the Keebler Elves; they'll all be here.
