LCE To Open NY Office
Interpublic Group’s Lowe Campbell Ewald is opening a New York office in January, the agency confirmed Monday.
Sal Taibi, most recently general manager at sister shop Deutsch New York has been selected to run the new LCE office as president. The office is expected to open in January 2014.
LCE didn’t disclose specific clients to be housed at the New York office, saying only that they will include clients that “Taibil and his team have worked with previously.” Speculation includes the recently won Cadillac assignment and Unilever.
Taibi will report to Jim Palmer, CEO of LCE based at the shop’s flagship Detroit office.
“Our new presence in New York speaks to the commitment we have to Lowe and the momentum our agencies are building together,” stated Palmer.
LCE, which IPG re-aligned with Lowe and Partners in July, also has offices in Los Angeles and San Antonio.
The re-alignment came shortly after LCE teamed with Lowe and Hill Holliday on a joint pitch that won the global Cadillac Business. LCE now serves as Lowe’s U.S. hub (effectively replacing Deutsch in that role).
It was in July that Palmer also became LCE’s CEO, succeeding Bill Ludwig who had been at the agency for 31 years.
Since the realignment LCE has pulled in several new accounts including Atkins, Western Governors University and the Detroit Lions.
