United Airlines, PGA Expand Partnership

United AirlinUnitedes is expanding its partnership with the Professional Golfers’ Association Tour.

The airline and golf association are teaming up to offer members of the company's MileagePlus loyalty program special discounts and access to courses within the PGA Tour’s TPC Network, a collection of more than 30 world-class golf destinations throughout North America.

MileagePlus Premier members will receive a 20% discount on starting times and golf club rentals at more than a dozen TPC properties as well as other unique benefits across the TPC Network.

All other MileagePlus members will receive a 10% discount on starting times and golf club rentals at more than a half dozen TPC resorts and other properties, and all members may receive a 10% discount at TOURAcademies within the TPC Network.

Customers can visit www.united.com/tpc to take advantage of the offers.

"Through our relationship with the PGA Tour, MileagePlus members can play on some of the top golf courses in the country, with the added benefit of player-friendly discounts," said Praveen Sharma, United's vice president of loyalty and business development, in a release. "This offer is a great addition to our already strong portfolio of MileagePlus member benefits."

United MileagePlus also offers a partnership with Mercedes-Benz USA that provides exclusive incentives for MileagePlus Premiers. The RewardsPlus partnership, with Marriott Rewards, offers benefits for all MileagePlus members.

As the official airline of the PGA Tour, Champions Tour and the Web.com Tour, United Airlines flies golf pros to over 370 destinations worldwide. The airlines has a strong presence on tour this year in San Francisco (AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am), Los Angeles (Northern Trust Open), New York (The Barclays), Washington D.C. (AT&T National), and Chicago (BMW Championship).

United signed the deal with the PGA for 2011 through 2015, replacing Delta, which was the official airline for 25 years.
