Matomy Media Group, a performance marketing company, on Tuesday announced Matomy Video, a supply-side platform (SSP) for video advertising. Matomy has partnered with content exchange Vidible to facilitate the trading.
Matomy Video will be led by Gal Topaz, a senior marketing exec at the company. RTM Daily spoke with Topaz about the new platform and what it offers publishers.
The new SSP allows the publisher to sell video ads via real-time bidding (RTB). However, the company believes the monetization it offers is the primary benefit -- and differentiator -- of its SSP.
Through Vidible, Matomy has access to over 90,000 items of “professionally produced content from many verticals,” including entertainment, news, celebrity, health and fashion, said Topaz. In addition, the publishers have access to that content for free.
“Our offering, in a sense, is providing the publisher with content,” Topaz added.
Matomy has been in the video business for about a year and a half, but Topaz said that “until now, [Matomy] was monetizing content that the publisher already had.”
