Videoplaza Enters Programmatic Space With Launch Of Konnect

Videoplaza, a London-based video ad management and ad serving platform, on Thursday announced the launch of a programmatic trading platform, dubbed Konnect. The launch of Konnect marks the first time Videoplaza’s SSP will support programmatic selling.

“Videoplaza is dead serious about making programmatic trading work for the premium side of the market who is today not served by the ecosystem,” stated Sorosh Tavakoli, CEO and founder of Videoplaza. “We believe this is the single biggest opportunity for our clients in the coming two-to-three year period and we are investing accordingly in technology and our go to market teams across U.S., Europe and Asia.”

The company claims that five large European broadcasters are using the new platform and that “hundreds of millions” of monthly impressions are available to its over 30 buy-side partners.

Clients include SBS and Aftonbladet, a Schibsted Media Group-owned publisher. Trading platforms connected with Konnect include TubeMogul, Videology and Amnet, Aegis’ trading desk.

“Video is one of our core growth areas, and we are very excited to work with Videoplaza,” stated Louisa Wong, global chief commercial officer at Amnet.

Keith Eadie, chief marketing officer of TubeMogul, added in the same statement: “As marketers adopt software to take control of their video ad spending, access to premium, transparent inventory is critical. We applaud Videoplaza's efforts in driving the adoption of programmatic among premium publishers with Konnect.”
