8 New Year's Resolutions For A Slow News Week

As we continue the slog through this brutally slow news week, I'm doing all I can to bring you a few tidbits to chew on as you wander the agency hallways sucking down your 5th Starbucks because -- let's be honest -- there's nothing to do. You know it. I know it. Everyone knows it. Seriously, there should just be a two-week shutdown. It'd make way more sense.

Anyway, and because my editor needs words to fill space, I bring you...wait for it...yet another list! This time it's 8 New Year's resolutions you can put to use at work when, you know, you actually start working again next week. So go grab that 6th Starbucks -- those Chestnut Praline Lattes won't be around much longer -- and read on...

Clint Powell, founder of Chattanooga-based Connect Marketing, has these words of wisdom for you. Briefly, be intentional, find your accountability person [your Meredith?], be engaged, stop doing things halfway [assed?], network your way, delegate and empower, be mobile-friendly and maintain that work-life balance. Yeah, not much new here -- but we can all use a good kick in the ass this time of year, right? So give Clint a read here.
