Ve Interactive, a privately held provider of ecommerce-based digital advertising and marketing, has acquired eBay Enterprise Marketing Solutions’ display retargeting business for an undisclosed sum. Boston-based Ve counts among its customers Angie’s List, Virgin America, Super Shuttle and Telecharge.

The acquisition increases Ve’s client base to more than 10,000 online businesses. “It significantly  increases our ability to go after display business and increases our customer base,” said Stephen Polinsky, the company's North America chief operating officer. He noted that the acquisition also gives Ve access to a large pool of intellectual capital and knowledge about the display business.

The acquisition brings Ve’s numbers up to more than 850 people working in 34 offices worldwide. The eBay personnel will report to Ve’s Boston headquarters.

Polinsky declined to specify 2015 revenues. The company's valuation is reportedly more than $1 billion.
