Katz Media Group Ups Gray To CEO

Veteran Katz Media Group senior executive Mark Gray has been named CEO of the big TV and radio national advertising sales representative.

Gray had been president of Katz Radio Group. He replaces Mark Rosenthal, who had been at the post after nearly four years with the company.

In addition to leading the company’s TV and radio ad sales efforts, Gray will look to further develop Katz’s technology and digital offerings.

This includes pushing for expansion of its programmatic buying efforts through its Expressway unit, an industry-wide programmatic ad buying exchange for broadcast radio.

Gray held numerous senior executive positions at Katz before coming president of the radio group in 2006.

Rosenthal announced his decision to step down as CEO of Katz Media Group at the end of March.  Rosenthal will continue as an advisor to iHeartMedia.

Katz Media Group represents — under Katz Radio Group and Katz Television Group — more than 3,300 radio stations, 700 television stations, and station-associates digital platforms.
