Omnicom Bolsters Creative Content Offering With Coffee & TV Acquisition

In a bid to bolster its content production capabilities, Omnicom Group has acquired UK-based content studio Coffee & TV (CTV). The deal, which includes CTV’s post-production facility Residence Pictures, also supports the studio’s ambitious expansion plans for the U.S. and other international markets.

CTV is currently in the process of setting up studios in New York, Los Angeles and Austin, TX. Co-founder and CEO Derek Moore is overseeing U.S. expansion efforts, supported by managing director Leonie Moreton and in coordination with Dave Colon, president of the newly formed Omnicom Content Studios.

CTV was formed in 2012 by Moore and fellow production veterans Jon Trussler, Phil Hurrell and Chris Chard. In addition to film and video shoots, the company specializes in visual effects, design, color, direction, and more.  In 2021 its London facility became B Corp certified.

The company has done work for well-known brands like Nike, Lego, Google, Premiere League and others.

The acquisition complements Omnicom’s existing content production operation eg+ which has nearly two dozen offices throughout the U.S., Europe and other locations.
