Shake Shack Readies For Its Oscar Night Close-Up

 

No matter how long the show goes on or who actually wins an Oscar, everyone is a winner at Shake Shack during this weekend’s awards.

Its “Hollywood’s Biggest Night” nationwide promotion is based on the oft-bemoaned long length of the Oscars themselves. Beginning the day after the show, on Monday Mar. 11 and running through Mar. 18, if Sunday’s show runs over three hours and 31 minutes, any guest who places a $10 order at a Shake Shack in-store kiosk, on shakeshack.com or the Shack App will win a free Chicken Shack by using the code BIGWINS at checkout.

But if the show miraculously runs under three hours and 31 minutes, customers are still winners -- this time of a SmokeShack burger, if they use the same BIGWINS code at checkout.

"We love to tap into cultural moments in unexpected ways, and what bigger moment to do so than Hollywood’s biggest night?” Mike McGarry, Shake Shack’s vice president  of brand marketing, told Marketing Daily. “We know that sometimes it can be a long show with even longer speeches, and we wanted to give Shack fans something to root and be rewarded for, no matter when the curtain finally falls."
Those customers who live near the West Hollywood Shake Shack location are in for more Oscar experiences in-store. That location will be transformed to celebrate the biggest night in Hollywood, with a red carpet, onsite photographer opportunities, tuxedoed managers, food giveaways and other “surprises,” according to the brand, as well as an extension of the location’s hours till 1:30 a.m.

For all of those customers actually nominated for an Oscar (winning or not), Shake Shack will also give away a free ShackBurger at the West Hollywood Shack on Mar. 10 with proof of ID.
