Sony Touts 'Da Vinci' DVD With Yahoo Contest

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and Yahoo Movies are teaming up to promote today's DVD release of "The Da Vinci Code" with an online contest involving clues hidden in the movie.

Starting today, fans can go to www.unlockthecodes.com on Yahoo Movies to answer daily questions based on clues placed by director Ron Howard throughout "The Da Vinci Code" for the DVD release. Correct answers in the contest running through Feb. 28 automatically register users for the grand prize of a trip to Paris and other prizes.

The promotion encompasses several Yahoo properties including Yahoo Travel, which will provide an image and information for each daily clue depending on where a movie scene takes place. The section will also update the trip plan that was created for the promotion of the movie's May theatrical release, with clues hidden within the trip plan itself.

Yahoo Maps will have a map of Paris highlighting locations from the movie which users can click on to view a scene from the movie and find the daily clue. Yahoo Games will offer a Da Vinci Code games page, with clues hidden within the page, and Yahoo Video will feature a channel dedicated to the movie that includes clips, DVD extras and interviews.
