Zoom Dominates Barroom, Restaurants, Nightclubs Too

Zoom Media & Marketing Wednesday said it agreed to acquire Alloy's Insite Advertising business, which consists of signs in restaurants, bars, and nightclubs throughout the United States. The deal bolsters Zoom's existing position in the bar and nightlife advertising category. Terms were not disclosed.

As part of the agreement, Zoom will immediately assume responsibility for all sales, marketing, and operations associated with Alloy's Insite business, which consists of billboards in more than 2,000 venues in more than 50 markets nationwide. As a result, Zoom will now operate more than 4,000 venues covering more than 20,000 billboards across the U.S. in its bar media business.

In addition to offering two types of static billboards and promotions, Zoom has also been expanding into digital billboards. The company currently operates more than 300 digital billboard venues in its social network, and recently announced plans to increase that number to 500 this spring.
