Jumping into the pre-upfront programming news, Fox has outlined its schedule for the summer--one that relies heavily on a reality lineup of returning shows with new episodes. One of its best summer performers, "So You Think You Can Dance?," will initially get four hours of airtime a week--two two-hour shows on Wednesday and Thursday, starting on May 22.

Then on June 12, "Dance" trims back a bit--as the field of contestants narrows--and another steady reality show, "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?," takes up the 8 p.m. hour time slot on Thursday.

Tuesdays are also reality TV-heavy with "Moment of Truth" at 8 p.m. and "Hell's Kitchen" at 9 p.m. starting May 27.

On Saturday, Fox's two longtime reality franchises--"Cops" and "America's Most Wanted"--will get new episodes, at 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., respectively.

Fox's scripted reruns will be left mostly to Monday and Sunday. Mondays will see "Bones" at 8 p.m. and "House" at 9 p.m. On Sunday, the networks' usual batch of sitcoms will lead off at 7 p.m. with "Don't Forget the Lyrics." On Fridays, Fox will air a movie.

As opposed to the usual May programming schedules--particularly for the fall--NBC announced last week a 65-week schedule that included this summer, the fall, mid-season, and next summer's programming lineup.
