Oddcast Partners With Visionaire For A&E Promotion

Visionaire Group and Oddcast viral widget for MindFreakOddcast, a media technology company that develops conversational character products, today will announce a new partnership with media agency The Visionaire Group to promote the A&E series "Criss Angel Mindfreak," Online Media Daily has learned.

For the new online campaign, New York-based Oddcast is supplying its 3D VideoStar technology, which allows users to upload pictures of themselves and friends, which are then automatically "mashed" into video clips from the series.

According to Adi Sideman, president and CEO of Oddcast, the technology has appealed to an increasing number of advertisers and publishers interested in engaging consumers with highly interactive online experiences.

"It's worth the investment to engage consumers at this level," Sideman said. "The deals start at $75,000, which increases based on how many videos you have, the length of the videos, the number of actors in the video."

Last month, Oddcast helped launch a viral marketing campaign promoting the new Batman movie, which allowed users to commit either themselves or their friends to Gotham's notorious Arkham Insane Asylum. The promotion also features sponsors, including Verizon Wireless and Nokia. Earlier this year, Oddcast helped launch a promotional campaign for the WEtv series Bridezillas.

To date, Oddcast has had a number of successes, including its Elfyourself viral marketing campaign for OfficeMax, and its Monk-e-mail campaign for Careerbuilder.com. Overall, Oddcast now claims over 9,000 customers, for whom it is serving over 100 million user-generated creations a month.

Los Angeles-based The Visionaire Group is the parent company to three specialized digital agencies, including Hybrid Studio focused on Web site design, development and digital strategy; Media Banners, which creates and produces digital banner campaigns; and Xtreme Widgets, a Web application company.
