Chris Anderson: The Portal Age Is Kind Of Ending

That’s what he blurted during this afternoon’s OMMA Expo conversation on the “platform wars.”

As proof, the Wired magazine editor offered, well Wired’s home page as an example.

“Traffic to Wired’s home page is declining,” he confessed, noting that it currently is about a third of all of Wired.com’s traffice, and  “declining.”

Where is the balance coming from? Well, pretty much everywhere.

“We live much more in the world of hyperlinks and the individual river of conversations where stories rise and fall on their merits,” Anderson explained.
