Access 360 Buys Arena Networks

Access 360, a multiplatform media company that targets young adults via online, mobile and out-of-home digital networks in retail venues, has acquired Arena Media Networks, a digital out-of-home network reaching major sports and entertainment venues, including Citi Field, United Center, Yankee Stadium, Madison Square Garden, Wrigley Field and Dodger Stadium.

Arena Media Networks' digital out-of-home TV platform reaches more than 50 sports and entertainment venues through partnerships with more than 60 professional sports teams.

Altogether, the combined Access-AMN network of over 20,000 out-of-home screens in about 100 locations reaches more than 54 million people per month across 33 big DMAs, including the top 25 DMAs in the nation, according to Access 360.

Art Williams, CEO and co-founder of AMN, will join Access 360 as president and COO.

The acquisition bolsters Access 360's ability to reach young adult sports and music fans. In addition to giving Access 360 a sizable audience of young adult males with disposable income, the combination also offers AMN advertisers access to Access 360's audiences in retail venues.

Last fall, Access 360 announced a deal with Simon Malls to provide programming to the company's malls across the top 20 DMAs, launching Mallvision 360 Digital.

Access 360 also has a mobile division, Mobile 360, which offers advertisers text messaging campaigns, WAP pages, and integration with email and other platforms.
