McCann's Comonte Named A World Economic Forum Young Global Leader

McCann Worldgroup CFO Tara Comonte has been selected as a Young Global Leader for the 2012 World Economic Forum in Geneva, Switzerland, the agency confirmed today.

Young Global Leaders are selected from around the world in the arenas of business, government, civil society, arts and culture, academia, and media.

Of the thousands of candidates nominated each year, only 100 to 200 accomplished individuals under the age of 40 make the cut. YGLs are involved in virtually all World Economic Forum meetings, research and initiatives, articulating the views and interests of the next generation of leaders. They are asked to provide input to tackle a range of issues and make a sound contribution to the world.

“I'm thrilled and extremely honored to have been named as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum,” Comonte stated. “The opportunity here is so much more than successful individuals coming together to share their own expertise and experience. The real opportunity sits with the special combination of this incredibly diverse group and how as a collective we can make tangible impact on a more far-reaching and amplified scale than any of us could do in isolation.”
