Frito-Lay's Tostitos is looking to attract more Millennials with Cantina chips, designed to emulate the flavors found in Mexican restaurants, reports The Wall Street Journal.
There are two varieties of Cantina chips: Thin & Crispy, designed to be paired with the brand's new Chipotle Restaurant Style salsa; and Traditional, meant to be eaten with Tostitos Cantina Roasted Garlic Thick & Chunky salsa.
The products will be supported by Frito-Lay's largest-ever launch-campaign investment, F-L VP marketing Tony Matta told WSJ. In addition, the packaging of the existing products is being redesigned.
Tostitos are popular with more established families, but lack of growth among Millennials have contributed to four years of declining sales.
