Land Rover Backs Outside Adventure Series

  • October 4, 2013

Land Rover is partnering with Outside on a branded content initiative to promote the new Range Rover Sport.  Driven: Pioneers Redefining Possible, a custom editorial series produced by Outside Television profiles the stories of three people. One, Sonya Baumstein, was the first (and very likely the last) person to stand-up paddle board the Bering Strait. She and partner Lia Ditton plan next to row across the Pacific Ocean from Tokyo to San Francisco. Outside said it will follow along, both spotlighting Baumstein and Ditton and theoretically saving them from a terrible fate. Too bad they weren't around to help Shackleton.

Next is Peter Metcalf, whose company, Black Diamond, produces climbing and skiing gear. That show will focus on his shop and future designs designing will tell the story of how Metcalf and his team are shaping the future of the outdoor world.

Finally, Levison Wood is planning to be the first person to walk the Nile. It is not clear whether he's planning to recreate one of Jesus' talents or simply walk along the bank of the river. The series will, besides being on Land Rover's properties, live on YouTube.com/LandRoverUSA and LandRoverUSA.com/Driven from mid-October.
