Dean Gardner has been appointed Managing Director of Omnicom’s Resolution Media, overseeing East Coast operations of the search and digital performance agency. He replaces Jenny Zirinsky who has shifted to an Omnicom global account role.
Gardner will be responsible for all services Resolution offers, with a focus on Search, Social and Content marketing.
“Dean will be a key driver in growing one of Resolution’s largest offices” said Alan Osetek, President of Resolution Media and to whom Gardner reports. “With some of the biggest brands we manage and his European background and experience make him the perfect fit for growing and managing our New York City-based global clients.” Resolution clients handled out of New York include Visa, Monster and Showtime.
“Resolution is a global organization and Dean is the best fit for the role,” added Osetek. “He’s been working with the U.S. executive team for a few years now on integrating broader Resolution objectives into EMEA.”
Prior to joining the U.S. operation, Gardner was responsible for leading the roll-out of Resolution across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, overseeing 27 local market teams and the Resolution EMEA hub in London.
Earlier Gardner was Executive Director at sibling agency OMD International where he lead the development of the agency’s Digital Marketplaces offering, building operations across various channels including search, social advertising, programmatic display, video and mobile.
Before joining Omnicom Media Group more than six years ago, Gardner worked for European search agency The Search Works, which was privately held until being acquired by Tradedoubler in 2007. His time there included a period leading UK and Netherlands client services for the technology arm of the business, Europe’s first search-bid management solution.
