Washington Lottery Awards Cole & Weber United $75 Million AOR Contract

The Washington State Lottery has retained Seattle-based Cole & Weber United as its Agency of Record after a government-mandated review.

Having successfully defended the assignment, the shop has been awarded a six-year $72 million contract to service the account.

The scope of work includes creative advertising, and media planning and buying across all channels and serving as strategic marketing lead on the account.

Also participating in the pitch were Publicis Seattle and Magner Sandborn, based in Spokane.

CWU also recently won an assignment for Hawaiian Airlines.

Separately, CWU, part of WPP’s United Group of Creative Agencies, has appointed Patrick McKay Executive Creative Director.  McKay will lead the creative team and will be an integral part of the agency management team.
