It may be a snowy winter, but Victory Motorcycles let fans ride anyway, creating what it calls the first-ever immersive motorcycle virtual ride experience. At a recent bike show, it used Oculus Rift, some tactile transducers, scary-real 3D graphics, throttle control and a custom bike stand with range of motion. It then seated 300 fans on a Victory Gunner, taking them to the Badlands and Needles Highway in South Dakota. Next stop, Sturgis. Victory calls the experience, created by digital agency Space150, “the next best thing to a ride in the middle of winter.”
