72andSunny Selected As New Coors Light Agency

MillerCoors has selected MDC Partners agency 72andSunny as the new ad agency for its Coors Light brand after a review.

The brand spends more than $150 million on ads annually, according to Kantar Media.

The agency confirmed the win in a tweet that exclaimed “Time To Celebrate!” after being notified of the selection.

The incumbent was WPP agency Cavalry which parted ways with the client early last month.

The review came shortly after Coors hired David Kroll as its new CMO. It also came amid a sales slump for the brand, including a “low single-digit decline” in sales during 2014, according the SABMiller annual report. Last month the company reported that for the second quarter of the current fiscal year Coors Light sales volume declined 2.3% worldwide.

The company has indicated that rejuvenating the Coors Light Brand is a priority.
