DailyCandy Taps Moore As EVP To Enhance Cross-Platform Engagement
DailyCandy has named Alison Moore executive vice president and general manager.
Moore -- who comes from HBO, where she most recently served as SVP of
digital products -- said she is well acquainted with the lifestyle brand. “I have been a loyal DailyCandy follower since it first launched,” Moore said.
Effective Nov. 1,
Moore will be responsible for launching reimagined DailyCandy experiences across the Web, mobile and social. She will also be expected to improve user engagement for the publisher and its brand
partners.
She will also lead DailyCandy’s video initiatives, including multiple original digital video series and its multiplatform programming partnership with the Style
Network's “StyleCandy.”
Moore will report to Nick Lehman, president of digital for NBCUniversal’s Entertainment & Digital Networks and Integrated Media group. More
broadly, Moore plans to build even deeper ties for DailyCandy across NBCUniversal’s collection of television and digital properties.
At HBO, Moore is credited with launching
various digital products, including HBO Go, HBO’s TV Everywhere product.
For the last two years, Moore has overseen HBO’s digital consumer experience, content development
strategy and operations of HBO’s digital products, which also include HBO.com/Cinemax.com, HBO Social Platforms and HBO/Cinemax On Demand.
Moore first joined HBO as a marketing
manager in 1995, responsible for developing marketing programs with affiliate partners. She left the company in 1999, returning to HBO in 2003 as director of brand development.
In
mid-2008, Comcast acquired DailyCandy for $125 million. Following Comcast’s merger with NBC Universal last year, DailyCandy became part of NBCU's Entertainment & Digital Networks and
Integrated Media division.
