Snapple Bows Diet Half 'n Half Lemonade Iced Tea

  • February 21, 2012

Snapple is running a social media sweeps, as well as a new TV spot, to launch its Diet Half 'n Half Lemonade Iced Tea.

The beverage has 10 calories per 16-ounce bottle.

The spot features office workers battling over whether lemonade or tea is the "best half" of the beverage.

The video's content includes people shown holding up signs with Twitter hashtags -- one for lemonade and one for tea (#Lemonade@Snapple and #Tea@Snapple).

Those hashtags were created so that fans can tweet-vote for lemonade or tea. They can also vote via the brand's Facebook page.

Voting participants can enter to win Snapple prizes being awarded daily -- or grand prizes of $1,000 (half to go to the winner, half to his/her charity of choice).

Snapple's Facebook page is also offering 250,000 coupons for $1 off a six-pack of the new beverage.

Suggested retails: $1.39 for 16-ounce bottle; $5.99 for a six-pack. Also available in 32-ounce, 64-ounce and 16-ounce 12-packs.
