    YVONNE FURTH, president and chief operating officer of the Chicago office of Draft, is the recipient of the first annual "Direct Marketing Woman of the Year" award from the Chicago Chapter of Women in Direct Marketing International (WDMI). The award will be presented at the organization's first annual award ceremony luncheon scheduled to be held at noon on Thursday, June 26 in Chicago.

    Choice Media announced that DENNIS UPAH has joined the company as Executive Vice President, Broadcast. Upah was most recently the founding President and CEO of VisionWeb, a global eMarketplace consortium for the vision care industry. From 1999-2000, he was the Chief Operating Officer of drkoop.com, overseeing day-to-day operations and building content relationships with online companies, hospitals, and television stations.
  • RICH EISEN: The National Football League
    The National Football League announced the appointment of RICH EISEN as its lead anchor for NFL Network, an NFL television programming service launching this fall. In his new role, Eisen will anchor NFL Network's flagship program, a yet-to-be-named one-hour, live studio show from Los Angeles. Eisen was an anchor/reporter for ESPN's SportsCenter from 1996 to 2003.
  • FRANK PUMA: EarthQuake Media
    EarthQuake Media has promoted FRANK PUMA to senior media analyst from his previous post as media analyst, a position he had held since joining the agency in February 2002. Before joining EarthQuake, Puma was an interactive media planner at J. Walter Thompson in New York. He also served as an interactive media planner at Luminant Worldwide in New York and as a digital product specialist at Candle Business Systems in New York.

    The Sacramento Bee promoted ED CANALE to vice president of new media and strategic planning. In his new role, Canale will maintain responsibility for The Bee's interactive properties and strategic planning. Canale joined The Bee in December 1980, serving as assistant managing editor, graphics and features. In 1993 he became director of marketing and in 1999 became director of new media and strategic planning.
