Hulu Plus Expects To Hit 1.2M Subscriptions

At the Consumer Electronics Show on Wednesday, Jonathan Miller, chairman and CEO of News Digital Media and chief digital officer of News Corp., said subscriptions of the Hulu Plus are on a faster track than expected. During Variety's Entertainment Summit event, Miller said Hulu Plus will hit around 1.2 million 2011. Why didn't Hulu owners sell last year? "We had real bids [in the] billions," he says. But a fast-moving, fast-growing marketplace meant there was little need to rush into a deal. News Corp., Comcast Corp. Walt Disney and Providence Equity Partners are the owners of Hulu.
