At the Consumer Electronics Show on Wednesday, Jonathan Miller, chairman and CEO of News Digital Media and chief digital officer of News Corp., said subscriptions of the Hulu Plus are on faster track than expected.

During Variety's Entertainment Summit event, Miller says Hulu Plus will hit around 1.2 million 2011. "Hulu Plus we think will have a multiple of that this year," he added.

Why didn't Hulu owners sell last year? "We had real bids [in the] billions," he says. But a fast moving, fast growing marketplace meant little need to rush into a deal. News Corp., Comcast Corp. Walt Disney and Providence Equity Partners are the owners of Hulu.
