Reuters has hired Josh London, former global CMO of IDG Communications, as its first Chief Marketing Officer.
Effective immediately, London is responsible for all of Reuters’ marketing, including product, field and brand marketing.
London is looking forward to “developing and driving a transformative marketing strategy that advances the brand and supports the company’s ambitious plans for growth,” he stated.
He will also work to grow the marketing organization at Reuters.
London reports to Michael Friedenberg, Reuters’ president.
He will be key in the executive team’s efforts to “reset, modernize and grow our organization,” Friedenberg stated.
Before his tenure at IDG, a media, data and marketing services firm, London held a number of marketing and leadership roles at various companies, including Salt Island Ventures, CNET Networks, SX2 Media Labs and its ComputerShopper.com brand.
