Turns out Google chief executive Eric Schmidt served on Apple's board for free -- almost. What's more, Schmidt -- who stepped down from Apple's board earlier this month -- doesn't seem to like money
much at all. His Google salary is $1 a year, and he hasn't accepted stock options for the past several years.
