UK Preps Online Player With 10,000 Films

The British Film Institute will spend around £49.5 million to digitise 10,000 classic movies it says are crucial to UK cultural heritage. The BFI says, “We will host a service on bfi.org.uk that identifies all British works and shows users where they can be viewed – by linking to the digital platforms of individual archives, by displaying links to cinema programmes UK-wide, and linking to DVD catalogues and VoD services.
