Trying to fend off foreign hackers, the Department of Homeland Security has embarked on a broad recruiting effort. As The New York Times reports, however, the agency is fighting an uphill battle.
“Potential recruits with the right skills have too often been heading for business, and … the National Security Agency, where they work on offensive digital strategies,” NYT writes.
“At Homeland Security, the emphasis is on keeping hackers out, or playing defense.”
